COVID-19 Update

During these challenging times, we want to let you know that your well-being is our primary concern and that our dental team is here for you. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. Our office has always practiced universal precautions and the highest infection control protocol. We continue to follow the enhanced infection control recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are committed to ensuring that our infection control procedures are current and effective. I want to outline some of the enhanced measures we have implemented in addition to our usual infection control protocol. Please be assured that we have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.

  • All patients will be asked to complete a screening form before their appointment. When you arrive for your appointment, we will also conduct a verbal COVID-19 screening.
  • All patients entering the office must have their temperature taken. This will be done via infrared non contact thermometer.
  • You may be asked to wash your hands with soap and water or use the hand sanitizer we will have available as soon as you enter the office.
  • Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines and other items that are difficult to clean.
  • There will be fewer scheduling options for your appointment in order to allow for physical distancing between patients.
  • You must come to the office wearing a face mask.
  • Aerosol reduction in the office. Even before the pandemic days, we have always used an Intra-oral suction system called Isolite that reduces more than 90% of aerosol. In addition, our assistants use additional high volume evacuation during our dental procedures.
  • We installed new medical grade MedifyAir H13 True HEPA air purifiers in each operatory.
  • We have added a Vector Vortex Extraoral High Velocity Suction and Purification Machine. This machine captures and kills aerosoled particles via high velocity suction and a 4-stage disinfection process.
  • Personal Protective Equipment will be used by our office staff. This includes N95 face mask, goggles, face shield, isolation gowns and scrubs.
